EXTRA - Support For Families
EXTRA – Support for Families (EXTRA) is here to help anyone caring for children in North Essex and Tendring district to meet the challenges of parenting. We offer local opportunities for parents/carers to meet at workshops, informal parent peer support groups and a range of programmes and courses. EXTRA aims to help parents/carers develop their skills to bring out the best in their children, reduce conflict in the home, improve family relationships and build their own confidence and emotional wellbeing to cope with future challenges.
EXTRA also acts as a central agency to co-ordinate the provision of parenting support throughout Tendring. Our termly parenting platform is open to agencies working with families to share information on what is going on and to find ways to provide what parents need in the area.
