Medequip - Community Equipment Loan Service

Medequip provide a range of equipment on loan to help you live independently. Our service includes delivery, fitting, servicing, collection and recycling of medical equipment and is funded by your local Council and NHS. To access equipment and request an assessment, you can ask your GP for a referral or an assessment can be arranged if you are to be discharged from hospital. To enquire or request an assessment directly, you can contact your Council's Social Care Team.

We are commissioned to provide the Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service (ICELS) on behalf of Essex County Council, Thurrock Council, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, NHS Mid & South Essex Integrated Care Board.

Returning equipment - If you have already benefited from equipment loaned to you following an assessment by a health or social care prescriber (e.g. an occupational therapist) that you no longer need, you can request a free collection so Medequip can recycle and help others in need.
