Dream The Change CIC
At Dream The Change, we aim to support families who have children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), from diverse ethnic minority backgrounds. To achieve this we organise parent seminars, training days and workshops, as well as arrange after school activities and social events for the whole family.
Dream the Change is a Community Interest Company that provides the following support:
- Parent training and workshops to develop skills and provide information.
- Online/physical parent support group meet ups.
- Group outings for the families and their children ie Colchester Zoo, Jimmy's farm, Legoland and more.
- A monthly visit to Airhop with a discounted ticket.
- Local park activities with snacks and drinks for children.
- Seasonal craft sessions.
- After school sport sessions on Wednesday evenings with trained coaches, £1/per child donation based.
- Parents Tea Sessions - An informal meeting where parents can meet each other and make friends and also get a training/listen to a talk by professionals, who specialise in fields around neurodiversity, EHCP, challenging behaviour, sleep, diet, mental health, emotional and spiritual resilience and empowerment and much more. Sessions are organised either online or face to face at Hythe Community Centre.
