North Essex Support Team (NEST)
We provide a range of FREE support for struggling families (primarily children) in our community. This includes providing essential furniture and household items, such as beds, bedding and kitchenware. We also provide assistance to facilitate the return from hospital of very sick patients and those in receipt of palliative care by moving furniture to create room for hospital beds or moving beds from upstairs to downstairs. Sadly we do not have funding to support single/individuals.
If you need help, speak to one of our community partners for a referral via Frontline. Our partners include Tendring Council, Colchester City Council, Peabody, HomeStart, Citizens Advice, local foodbanks and GP surgeries.

How are services delivered?
We are based in Harwich and cover the following areas: CO1 – CO4 and CO7 within the Borough of Colchester, and CO11 – CO16 within the District of Tendring.
