Colchester City Council : Disabled Facilities Grants

If you are elderly, disabled or have a long-term health condition, you may be eligible for a grant to adapt your home. Things we could help with include: adapted bathroom facilities, stairlifts (currently not means tested), access ramps, level access showers, door widening and level thresholds. The property to be adapted must be the place where you live, and you should intend to live there for the next five years after the work is complete.
