Hamelin: Ukraine Links

Hamelin can provide support, information, advice and guidance for disabled members of Ukrainian families living in Essex. The support is tailored to individual needs and aims to promote independence, wellbeing and community integration. This includes guidance on accessing UK social care and health services, help with understanding available community resources, and linking individuals to befriending schemes, employment opportunities and skills-building activities. The service also supports carers by offering access to respite and support.

Funded by Essex Community Foundation, the service focuses on reducing barriers to access, supporting independence and promoting inclusion within local communities. This may include one-to-one discussions, needs assessments, information sharing and signposting to relevant services. Support is ongoing and adapted depending on what the person needs at different stages.
