Rafiki Community CIC

Rafiki means “friend” in Swahili. We create safe, culturally responsive spaces where migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers who have experienced severe trauma can find connection, belonging, and wellbeing. Our services include: Friendship cafés; Health and wellbeing activities; Safe Spaces; Peer support; Training and Community awareness programmes.

Through a trauma-informed approach, our staff and volunteers provide compassionate, person-centred support.

Many of our team members come from the communities we serve, bringing lived experience, cultural and religious understanding, and trust to help individuals rebuild confidence, resilience, and a sense of community.

Who can use this service?

We welcome: Migrants; Refugees; Asylum seekers; People with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF); People from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities; Families with children; People experiencing social isolation and People affected by trauma, displacement, or migration-related challenges.

How are services delivered?

Face to Face.

Group based and individual consultations.
